MIR SHOWKAT/KISHTWAR:POLICE ARREST MOST WANTED ABSCONDER IN KISHTWAR DISTRICT AFTER THREE DECADES OF EVASION

In a significant breakthrough, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully apprehended a fugitive who had been evading arrest for the past three decades (33 years). The absconder was wanted in connection with case FIR 248/1991,(TADA), section 382 RPC, and sections 3/25 of the Arms Act.
District Police Kishtwar acted on a special tip-off regarding the fugitive. Following this lead, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, constituted a special team led by Dy. SP DAR Sh. Sajjad Khan to locate and apprehend the absconder.
The team conducted a raid at the suspected location and successfully apprehended the fugitive. He is now being produced before the Hon’ble court of law for trial in the instant case.
The successful arrest was the result of a meticulously planned operation, highlighting the unwavering commitment of the J&K Police to bring long-standing absconders to justice and ensure the safety and security of the region.
