In pursuance of the directives of the National Legal Services Authority and Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, a meeting-cum-orientation and training session for the SAATHI unit members of District Ganderbal was held today at Town Hall, Ganderbal.
The meeting aimed to discuss and finalize the implementation strategy for the SAATHI campaign, which focuses on identifying and rehabilitating destitute children in the district.
The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, (Chairperson SAATHI unit) Ganderbal, and attended by various stakeholders, including government officers, officials, and Child Welfare Committee members, etc.
The session focused on orienting committee members on their roles and responsibilities, training them on conducting surveys and identification processes for destitute children, and outlining next steps for the campaign’s successful execution.
Through this initiative, the DLSA Ganderbal aims to identify and rehabilitate destitute children, ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and social welfare schemes.
The SAATHI campaign is a significant step towards creating a protective and nurturing environment for vulnerable children in District Ganderbal.
