Budgam 19 May 2025:Under the directions of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Budgam, Mr. G.H. Hassan Lone, a series of inter-school zonal-level competitions and inclusive sports events were successfully conducted across various zones of Budgam, promoting fitness, talent, and inclusivity.
BHSS Chadoora hosted a special event for specially-abled students and local youth, inaugurated by the Principal and ZPEO Mr. Syed Muzammil Geelani. The event featured inclusive games aimed at boosting confidence and community participation.
At Batapora Kanihama, Inter-School Volleyball and Kabaddi (U/14 & U/17 Boys) tournaments were inaugurated by ZPEO B.K. Pora Mr. Abdul Hamid (additional charge Narbal) and Mr. Bashir Ahmad Sheikh.
The event began with an anti-drug pledge and emphasized sports as a path to a healthy lifestyle. Twenty-eight teams participated.
A dedicated sports event for specially-abled students was conducted, showcasing their enthusiasm and talent. The initiative reinforced the department’s commitment to equal opportunities and inclusive participation.
At GMS Beerwah, the Zonal Physical Education Office organized a carrom competition for specially-abled students, aiming to nurture confidence and sports spirit among participants.
ZPEO Hardpanzoo conducted a carrom competition for specially-abled students at HS Arizal. Incharge Mr. Farooq Ahmed Sheikh led the event and appreciated the participants with mementos and certificates.
An Inter-School U-14 Girls Kabaddi competition was held at B.Ed College Wager, promoting teamwork and active engagement among young girls.
At PS Hazarpora, a large-scale U-14 Girls Volleyball and Kabaddi event was organized under the supervision of ZPEO Mr. Gh Nabi Lone. Inaugurated by Mr. Mohd Ashraf Ganai (PeM), the event saw participation from 368 students across schools in the zone.
